Golden Angle (Caprona ransonnettii)


A rare butterfly of low country dry zone found from sea level to about 1000m altitude. Its larva feeds on Lihiniya plant (Helicteres isora)Grewia hirsuta, Grewia damine, Urena lobata, and Microcos paniculata

  1. Hi, I'm also interesting about Butterflies. But unfortunately I have less number of Butterfly photos. How you capture this?

  2. Hi Aysha
    It is not difficult of finding/photographing butterflies if you have patient, time to spend on places where butterflies are abundant at right time(Most butterflies are active early hours of the day around 8-10AM and much common in open areas, foot paths in jungles with flowering plants )and may be right equipments( Tele macro type lens is much useful since you can capture it from some distance without disturbing it)
