ගම් කපුටා/කලු කපුටා (Corvus levaillantii)

 දිවයින පුරාම පාහේ ඉතාමත් සුලභ දේශීය පක්ෂියෙකු වන ගම් කපුටා නාගරික ප්‍රදේශ වල තරමක් දුර්ලභව දැකිය හැක. එම ප්‍රදේශ වල බහුලව හමුවන්නේ කොළඹ කපුටා ලෙසින් හැඳින්වෙන කපුටු විශේෂයයි. නිතරම ජෝඩු වශයෙන් හෝ කුඩා රංචු ලෙසින් හමුවන ගම් කපුටන් කොළඹ කපුටන් මෙන් ආහාර උදෙසා එතරම් මිනිසා මත යැපීමක් සිදු නොකරන බැවින් ඇතැම්විට මිනිස් වාසයෙන් ඈතට වන්නට පිහිටි  වනාන්තර තුලද හමුවේ. සර්වභක්ෂිකයෙකු වන ගම් කපුටා මළකුණු මත මෙන්ම මිනිස් අපද්‍රව්‍යද මතද යැපෙන ආකාරය නිරීක්ෂණය කල හැක. ගම් කපුටා අප්‍රියෙල් සිට සැප්තැම්බර් අතර කලයේ උස ගසක් මත කෝටු කැබැලි ගොඩක් එකතු කර සාදන කූඩුවක බිත්තර 3 ක් හෝ 4 ක් පමණ දමා අභිජනනයේ යෙදේ.

White Wagtail/සුදු හැලපෙන්දා (Motacilla alba dukhunensis)

 White Wagtail is a rare but regular winter migrants to the lowlands. It can be seen on ground of open areas and cultivated lands, often close to water sources. Usually as solitary birds or may be as a scattered flock of few birds, sometimes also associated with other wagtails. It feeds entirely on small insects. As it is with other wagtails White Wagtail also roosts communally in large flocks in a reed bed or similar habitat.

කරපිංචා/Curry Leaf (Bergera koenigii [Syn: Murraya koenigii])

 An indigenous shrub or small tree of low country, especially in the dry zone. Also cultivated for its leaves ,an essential ingredient in cooking curries.  Flowering in August and December. 

Sri Lanka Golden-backed Frog/රන්වන් දිය මැඩියා (Indosylvirana serendipi)

 An endemic frog inhabiting stream banks, coastal marshy areas, lowland rain forests and plantations of the wet zone from sea level to about 1000  m elevations. Often found on rocks, low vegetation and leaf litter close to water sources. Diurnal activities can be observed in rain forest areas though mostly active during the night. 

Jerdon's Bull Frog (Hoplobatrachus crassus)

Jerdon's Bull Frog is one of the largest frogs  in Sri Lanka, inhabiting paddy fields, marshlands, tanks, rivers, drains and such other aquatic habitats. It also found on land close to water bodies, especially during the night. Common and widely distributed in all climatic zones from sea level to about 600 m elevations. Jerdon's Bull Frog is mostly active during the rainy season and hides inside cracks in earth, dried ponds and other water bodies, holes in rivers and stream banks, underneath logs and stones, etc. during the dry season.
