ගොඩපර[Godapara] (Dillenia retusa)

An endemic tree grows in primary rain forests, on streams and river banks and occasionally in secondary forests of the wet zone from sea level to about 450 m a.s.l. Flowering throughout the year. Wood used to make furniture and in light construction. Fruit medicinal. 

දියපර[Diyapara](Dillenia triquetra)

An indigenous tree occurs in wet zone forests from lowlands to about 1200 m altitude. Flowering throughout the year.
*The vernacular name ගොඩපර[Godapara] is also used for this species where  ගොඩපර[Godapara] (Dillenia retusa) is absent, especially in Nawalapitiya area.

බිම් බෙරු [Bim-Beru ] (Acrotrema walkeri)

An endemic perennial herb, locally common in the wet montane forests from 610 to 1300 m altitude. Acrotrema walkeri can be easily distinguished from other 6 species of the genus occurs in Sri Lanka (All endemic) by usually having pale-white area along the mid rib and primary veins of the leaves. 

කැකිරි-වරා [Kekiri-Wara] (Schumacheria castaneifolia)

An endemic small tree occurs in primary and secondary rain forests in the wet lowlands from 100m to 760m a.s.l. Flowering throughout the year.

දියපර/ගොඩපර[Diyapara/Godapara](Dillenia suffruticosa)

Native plant of Sumatra, Malaysia and Borneo. Introduced to Peradeniya botanical garden as an ornamental tree in late nineteenth century. It becomes an invasive plant in stream banks, forest edges, wastelands, roadsides and neglected plantations of wet lowlands. A bright yellow flower of this species is the key to distinguish it from other three indigenous varieties of Dillenia (with white flowers) grows in Sri Lanka.
