Ardisia gardneri

 
An endemic shrub or small tree common in lower montane forests of the wet zone up to about 1500 m elevations. Flowering and fruiting from December to May.

Ardisia rothii [Syn: Ardisia missionis]

Common native shrub occurs in shade, along forest edges of the moist region, mainly in the lower montane zone up to 1200 m a.s.l. Flowering and fruiting from April to June. 

මතබිම්බිය/මැටිඹේබිය[Matabimbiya/Matibembiya] (Maesa indica)

Common native shrub or small tree grows in shady places of moist region, especially in the hills up to about 2000 m elevations. Flowering and fruiting occurs from February to April. Fruits edible.

Flower size - About 0.25 cm across

Lysimachia deltoidea [Lysimachia procumbens]

A native prostrate herb occurs along stream banks and seepage areas in the forests and transition zones between forests and patana grasslands of the hill country above 1900 m elevation. 

Lysimachia laxa

An indigenous herb with erect stem occurs in shady places in the hill country forests above 1600 m a.s.l. Flowering from August to September and December to January.

බලු දං [Balu Dan] (Ardisia elliptica)

Rather common native shrub occurs in the low country, especially in the coastal areas. Flowering and fruiting from September to April. 

Ardisia zeylanica [Syn: Ardisia moonii]

Rather common endemic undershrub occurs in shady places of wet zone up to 1500 m elevations. Flowering and fruiting from December to May.
