Indian Rockdweller ( Bradinopyga germinate )

Rare dragonfly with well camouflaged coloration in its usual habitats such as granite rocks and cemented ponds.

  1. Happy New Year!
This is a nice capture. I have found it in my garden just once, albeit briefly. There is a pretty good concentration of this species in a rocky patch just 100m as a dragonfly flies from my garden.

  2. Wish you the same as well!!!
Well...Nice to hear that it has good concentration in your area :) I have never encountered this in wet zone though seen several times in several dry zone rocky outcrops. This one is from a place called Niyadawana temple in Kurunagala district.

  3. Greetings for a splendid new year! Interesting critter you've posted.
