Rather common indigenous herb found in rocky open places and patanas between 650-2300 m elevations from Belihuloya to Nuwaraeliya and Horton Plains, .Flowering from December to August (Probably throughout the year)

Flower size - About 2 mm across

An indigenous annual herb occurs in moist areas among grass under trees, along roadsides and waste grounds, mainly in the dry lowlands from 70 to 170 m elevations and up to about 1300 m elevations in the Uva province.

An introduced herb native to tropical America. Cultivated and also naturalized along forest edges, shaded or sunny disturbed areas, stream banks, etc. from 550 - 800 m around Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. The plant has a very strong unpleasant bug like smell.

ගොටුකොල/හීන් - ගොටුකොල[Gotukola/Heen gotukola] (Centella asiatica)

An indigenous prostrate herb common from sea level to higher hills. Flowering May to October. Leaves edible and also use in traditional medicine.
