A rare winter migrant to the lowlands and lower hill wooded areas, occurring either singly or in small flocks. It feeds on fruits—particularly figs and berries—as well as insects, especially caterpillars.
Indian Golden Oriole breeds in the hills of
Baluchistan, northern and eastern
Afghanistan,
Nepal, and parts of
India, including the
Himalayan region.
