Green Sandpiper (Tringa ochropus)
Rather uncommon winter migrant to the grassy and wooded areas of freshwater pools, streams, rivers and brackish channels in tidal marshes throughout the island. But not normally occurs on salt water. While its stay in Sri Lanka Green Sandpiper usually lives as solitary birds. It breeds in Europe and Central Asia.
